Questions and answers
Is this one course that teaches all three?
No. Cinematic acting, film direction and film editing are three separate, complete courses of 90 days each. Only the first month is shared; months two and three are different for each course.
What is the fee?
The fee for each course is ₹50,000, or ₹27,500 + ₹27,500 in two instalments. A merit scholarship of up to 20% is awarded on the basis of the selection audition.
How do I apply online?
On the Apply Online page, choose a course, fill in your details and send. The form reaches us directly on WhatsApp, and we tell you when to come for the audition.
Why do direction and editing students learn acting in month one?
Because a good director or editor understands actors. The first month gives everyone the same grounding in camera, character and expression.
What is the selection audition?
A short audition and conversation at the academy so we understand your interest and readiness. Scholarships are decided on this basis.
Is there a degree or age requirement?
No degree is needed. Anyone above 16 can apply.
What opportunities follow the course?
Ten selected students from each batch get a three-month internship at PICHCHRAPA production house with travel allowance. We also offer job opportunities to our best students, at PICHCHRAPA or elsewhere in the industry. These depend on performance and selection; they are not guaranteed. Other students get guidance on auditions and projects.
Is there YouTube and Instagram training?
Yes, in all three courses. Every student starts a channel within the 90 days and learns shooting, editing and regular publishing on it.
Can I learn acting online?
You can build understanding online, but acting only sharpens with practice. Watch our free online classes and, after each one, practise in front of your phone camera at home. For correction in front of a camera and for real shoots, an offline batch is better. These three courses are classroom and live-shoot courses; for learning at home there is a separate online acting course.
What is the fee for an acting class in Lucknow?
